Mater Filius is Latin for Mother and Child. Mater Filius Lincoln is committed to helping women of all backgrounds facing an unexpected and under supported pregnancy who need assistance. We provide a tranquil maternity home within a family-like setting, assistance with healthcare appointments, transportation, nutritious meals, birth education, spiritual care, access to child enrichment, and a path to independence, without cost to the mothers.
At Mater Filius Lincoln, we Defend Life with Love!™
You and your baby will receive continuous love and support during your stay and will be well-supported after you leave our home. Your children, who are under 5 years of age, will be welcome to live here as well. Our child enrichment program is available to the children of all residents and graduates.
Bishop James D. Conley has given his official blessing for Mater Filius Lincoln, a nonprofit Catholic Lay Association of the Faithful. Mater Filius was founded in Mexico City in 2003. Currently, there are Mater Filius homes in Omaha, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Milwaukee and more in other countries.

The Executive Directors are a Catholic husband and wife whose main task is to oversee the various team efforts designed to help our resident mothers create a sustainable family life and fully come to know God’s exceeding love for both her and her baby, through the Mater Filius mission. The Executive Directors work to ensure that all the elements of Mater Filius Lincoln integrate, preserve, and promote the precepts of the Catholic faith.
